A traditional tea fit for the deities and very enjoyable for humans! Tibetans imported tea from Yunnan province in China and ripe puerh tea is the choice for offering to dharmapalas in the form of serkyem-offering. Strong, black tea is used for serkyem and puerh is traditionally used.
This ripe puerh tea from Yunnan province in one of the most coveted teas made by Banzhang Tea Factory in the Menghai region. We had to source this from Malaysia where puerh enthusiasts consider to be one of the prime locations for storing puerh teas. The brew is simultaneously dark and bright, very smooth texture, it has a nice hint of camphor, woody and leaves a wonderfully subtle, sweet aftertaste on your tongue.
