This is a rare find that Dr. Lye brought back from Indonesia during a pligirimage and retreat program that he led to Cambodia and Indonesia in Feb 2019. After visiting Mendut Temple in the Borobudur area in Java (Indonesia), he saw these for sale by a street vendor and immediately recognized that this is something special! 

This mala is made with beautiful copal amber beads. The beads have a multidimensional color, from a deep amber brown to light honey/blonde yellow. All the beads have a beautiful sheen and some of them have translucent spots. The beads also have a subtle and pleasant pine resin aroma.

It’s a great wrist mala especially for those with bigger hands/wrists！
