Vajrakilaya with Retinue 15" x 20"

The practice of Vajrakilaya (Tib. Dorje Phurba) is famed for overcoming outer and inner obstacles. It is said that only when Guru Rinpoche accomplished Vajrakilaya was he able to then achieve buddhahood. Connecting to this blessing will keep up protected from dangers and from all malignant forces. At His Holiness the Dalai Lama's personal chapel, there is always at least one monk who keeps the Vajrakilaya practice going on at all times day and night for the safety of His Holiness. In this thangka, there are two protector deities painted in the two lower corners.
