"Bestowing All That Could Be Desired" An Achi Sang-Offering

A sang-offering practice for the uncommon Drikung Kagyu dharmapāla Achi Chökyi Drölma who was historically the paternal great-grandmother of Kyobpa Jikten Sumgön (1143-1217), founder of Drikung Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. In Drikung Kagyu sources, Achi Chökyi Drölma is recognized as the emanation of Vajravārāhī and thus a fully-awakened dharmapala. Sang is a cleansing practice using the medium of aromatic-smoke created from the burning of juniper, cedar, aloeswood, sage, dwarf rhododendron, spices, herbal medicines, precious metals, and other special substances.
