Traditional ritual mirror with 3 circles design. The melong is an ancient symbol throughout Indian religions. In Indian and Tibetan iconography it may be understood as a symbol for clarity, wholesome or complete perception and ‘primordial purity’ of the mind-stream or consciousness. Especially in Dzokchen, the melong is a symbol of rikpa or the knowing primordial mind.
