Achi Prayer Flags - 100% Cotton
Achi Chokyi Drolma is an historical manifestation of Vajravarahi who was also the great grandmother of Kyobpa Jikten Sumgon (1143-1217, founder of Drikung Kagyu). In her lifetime she practiced the Nyingma teachings and is said to have ridden her horse into the sky at the end of her life. She is a powerful wisdom-protector who guards and protects all sincere Dharma-practitioners to rely on her. She is also known for her power to confer wealth.
The mantras included in this special prayer flag are: Guru-mantra of Kyobpa Jikten Sumgon, Yidam-mantras of Heruka Chakrasamvara and four attendant dakinis and mantras of Achi Chokyi Drolma and her retinue goddesses. Included too is a supplication to Achi and her retinue by Gyalwang Rinchen Puntsok, the 17th throne-holder of Drikung Kagyu.
Our prayer flags are made by a sincere, Tibetan, Drikung dharma-practicing mother-and-daughters team living in Kathmandu, Nepal.
