So, when it arrived one of the turquoise gems had fallen off but was still in the box so I simply epoxy'd it back on. But the assembly of the kit was finicky because the little tripod-like stand that it comes with, came as two parts that slid together and they were fit poorly together so that one was taller than the other causing the whole thing to flop over and not be able to hold the top dish. Additionally, the two pieces of the tripod were so loose that it didn't even stand up right as a tripod. To fix it I had to take more epoxy and drip it down the center of the two pieces, permanently gluing them together. -Not an ideal situation. In addition, the finger hole on the "teapot" for the milk offering was very roughly cut and had sharp edges. I'll probably have to sand or file the inside edges of that down so it's less uncomfortable. -None of that would be a dealbreaker if the kit had cost less, but at 100 dollars you'd think the fit and finish would be of better quality. I have the tools to be able to touch it all up and make it work, but it was a bit disappointing that it seemed I had to do the final "quality assurance" on it myself.
The size is big enough for the offering and both bowl and plate are beautifully adorned with blue beads and designs. The jar is also a nice size and shape. Definitely these as a whole set enhances the moment of the practice with functionality and beauty.
I'm very happy with this copper water torma offering set. It is lovely and it has inset semi-precious stones. The only thing I don't like is the tripod, kang sum. To be traditional, it should have three legs. It has four. To me, it also seems disproportionally short for a set of this size.
