Vajradaka incense burner
This dark-copper Vajradaka incense burner is used for the Vajradaka (Dorje Khandro) practice. During this practice, black sesame seeds – symbolizing our negative karma and propensities – are offered into the mouth of Vajradaka. Through the opening in the mouth, the sesame seeds fall into the pot the Vajradaka sits on and they are burned by the coals that one would place inside the pot.
This is one of the most intricate and impressive Vajradaka burners we have ever seen. The base of the burner is a wonderfully detailed dragon.
