Five star because of the practicality and beauty.
Someone previously asked the meaning of Kargyen, I think it comes from the tibetan kargyen (དཀར་རྒྱན་, dkar rgyan) that translates like white ornaments. A torma is sort of the Himalayan version of a cake, it is made of ingredients that were precious in Tibet for the purposes of offering these during a Tibetan Buddhism offering to the Buddhas and bodhisattvas. These cakes have ornaments that resemble these metal ornaments.
So how are they use? Often, I use this torma ornaments when I set a table of offerings to recieve a very special teaching. I simply commission a cake and then this is the decorations that I used. To me it adds an extra layer of actually making an effort, in that sense it supports my attention during the receiving of empowerments.
What is the meaning of kargyen ?
Please someone with knowledge explain.
