An Abridged Green Tārā

Śyāma Tārā (Tib. sgrol ljang) or Green Tārā is the fundamental form of Tārā – undoubtedly the most popular of all female Buddhist deities. Tārā literally means “savioress” and she is known for her swiftness in responding to prayers and delivering beings from suffering.

This very brief sādhana was composed by Lho Jedrung Nuden Dorjé (1849-1902), an important Drikung Kagyu lama in eastern Tibet who was also trained in Nyingma traditions.
