Opalite gemstone is an artificial crystal that imitates the traditional opal, composed mainly of glass and resin, or sometimes metal. It is also sometimes called glass opalite, argonon, or sea opal. This composite stone imitates the look and feel of the naturally occurring gemstone opal. Since its creation in the 1940s in France, opalite has come to symbolize clarity, fresh starts, and tranquility.
